East Washington Schools PTO

We are the Parent Teacher Organization for East Washington Elementary School and East Washington Middle School in Pekin, IN.

The East Washington Schools PTO is a nonprofit, volunteer parent/teacher organization that includes parents, legal guardians, grandparents, teachers and staff in the East Washington School Corporation. It is our belief that children are motivated to be life-long learners when they are a part of a thriving learning environment that includes the participation of family, school, and community. The team effort of a parent/teacher organization offers the best possible learning environment for our children.

Our primary mission is to:

1. Improve the environment of our school by providing volunteer and financial support.
2. Enhance the educational experience of all students by supporting academic and enrichment   activities.
3. Develop closer connections between school and home through family involvement.
4. Keep parents informed and a part of their child’s education.

To achieve these goals, the PTO provides fun and/or educational student activities throughout the year and helps raise funds to provide our school with things for which the budget does not allow.
